Privacy Policy
Which data is processed when you visit this website, on what legal basis, and which rights you have.
The controller for data processing on this website is Julian Hilzinger, Schloss-Bronnen-Str. 9, 78567 Fridingen an der Donau, Germany.
Contact: info@hilzinger.dev. Full details are available in the imprint.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you access the site, technical connection data is transmitted to and processed by Vercel. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out in this context.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation of the website. Details on the provider's data processing are available in its privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
When a page is requested, data transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically: the requested URL, date and time, volume of data transferred, HTTP status code, browser type and operating system, and the IP address.
This data serves technical delivery, fault detection and defence against attacks. It is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify individuals. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you use the contact form, the data you enter — first and last name, email address, subject and message — is transmitted to a server of this website in Frankfurt am Main and delivered from there to me by email.
For delivery I use Brevo, a service of Sendinblue SAS, 9-17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France. The provider is a European company and, according to its own information, processes the data on servers in France and Germany. No transfer to third countries takes place in this context.
Processing serves to handle your enquiry on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Your details remain with me until you request deletion or the purpose ceases to apply; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. You may also write directly to info@hilzinger.dev at any time instead.
Vercel Web Analytics is used to evaluate site usage. The service works without cookies. According to the provider, it collects the timestamp, the page requested, the referring page, filtered query parameters, a coarse geographic assignment, plus operating system and browser.
To distinguish visits, a hash is derived from the incoming request and discarded after 24 hours. No recognition beyond that period or across other websites takes place; the IP address is not stored.
As no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest in privacy-preserving audience measurement.
This website sets no cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes and embeds no external advertising networks.
Fonts are not loaded from third parties either, but served directly from this server. No connection to Google Fonts or comparable services takes place.
At /api/mcp this website provides a publicly reachable, read-only interface following the Model Context Protocol. It returns only content that is published on this website anyway.
No personal data of visitors is processed through this interface. The same server log files described under section 3 apply to requests to it.
This website links to external profiles, including on LinkedIn and GitHub. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click such a link. I have no influence over their processing; the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.
You have the right to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
An informal message to info@hilzinger.dev is sufficient to exercise these rights.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany.
This website uses transport encryption (HTTPS) throughout. You can recognise this in your browser's address bar. With encryption active, the data you transmit to this website cannot readily be read by third parties.
